ABOUT ME

I'm from a small town in Mississippi, and grew up with a strong penchant for the arts. From childhood, I practiced illustration and painting. Over time, I built a large portfolio of artwork, comprising mostly of abstract expressionist work, for which I won many awards, and some of which still hangs in the Brooks Museum in Memphis, TN. In my late teens and early twenties, I focused my creative energy into writing and had the chance to study under some of the South's greatest writers (Barry Hannah, Tom Franklin & Jack Pendarvis). In my later twenties, I made the return to visual art as a profession and found that my two passions melded beautifully, combining my three favorite things: typography, visual design and story.

I have a wonderful wife, Gabby, who supports me and complements me perfectly. Together, we have a beautiful son, Hank. Family is extremely important to me.

My hope is that anyone who sees my work and my lifestyle can see the balance I aim to strike between function and form. I strive to look past my work in the moment, and see where it could go - superseding trend or fad, and creating a lasting mark.

I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU.
